shou sugi ban | Amsterdam
International geometrics
the designproces to create this fire place wall was the stepping stone for a bespoke interior.
in this beautiful apartment a flue-less bio-ethanol fireplace is the
center piece of the interior. the wooden 'shou sugi ban' panelling hides storage space and the position of the television.
the niches next to the bio-ethanol burner became showcases for a
special collection. especially by night the soft led lighting creates an ambient atmosphere and illuminates the unique pieces.
the palette of different materials, colours and textures creates a comfortable balance with the art pieces and antiques.
we thank the owners that we were granted to be able to work with them,
to be able to create this warm, unique layered contemporary interior,
to be able to create their home.
